This Cokin P Series Solid Neutral Density Filter Kit contains three filters that can be used individually or in various combinations to create a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters. The included filters consist of 84 x 84mm solid neutral density filters that reduce the amount of light entering a lens by one, two, and three stops, respectively. To allow these filters to be placed in front of a lens, a separately-available Cokin P Series filter holder and a Cokin P Series lens adapter ring are required. Each filter is made of durable, optical resin (CR39) and measures 1.6mm thick.

This is the P164 Circular Polarizer Glass Filter from Cokin. It fits in the optional Cokin P Holder. Light rays which are reflected become polarized. Polarizing filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. A polarizer helps make a blue sky bluer as well as making clouds stand out. It can remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and also saturate colors providing better contrast. The effect can be seen through the viewfinder and changed by rotating the filter. The filter factor varies according to how the filter is rotated and its orientation to the sun.
